Mike and Helen Theodoropolous make $5,000 donation to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation’s Northern Cardiac Fund

Mike and Helen Theodoropolous feel very strongly about the need for equipment at our Hospital. So much so, that they made a $5,000 donation to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation’s Northern Cardiac Fund recently that helped purchase a new Vital Signs Monitor for in-patient unit 2C. “We have been very happy with the Hospital and everybody here,” said Mike. “It’s important that we give back.”

Added Helen, “We really like to see where our donation goes, and we were happy to see that a new Vital Signs Monitor arrived at the Hospital. I’m glad to know it will help many patients.”

Wayne Taylor, Manager, 2C explained that the Monitor is frequently used within the unit; most often it tracks a patient’s vitals every four hours. This includes monitoring temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and heartbeat. Wayne explained how important it is to keep track of a patient’s vitals to ensure the most appropriate care is being given. He expressed his gratitude and that of everyone on the 2C unit for the new Monitor.
