Planting Seeds of Self
January 12 @ 10:00 am - June 15 @ 3:00 pm
Planting Seeds of Self (every Friday) is a program designed to assist individuals in their own self-discovery and self-healing work. This program is funded by National Indian Brotherhood (NIB). Everyone is welcome to attend any/all parts of the programming.
– Sharing Circle (10am)
– Drumming Circle (Start time will vary. Follows Sharing Circle)
– Lunch (12:00pm)
– Afternoon Programming (1pm)
This group of loving individuals meets every Friday morning from many nations to celebrate ceremony (smudging, pipe, song) and gather in Sharing Circle. We have been meeting for several years now and we welcome other individuals interested in learning about the Anishnaabe culture or sharing your culture with us. We discuss various topics as they come up and support each other during our transitions and challenges.
You do not need a drum to participate but feel free to bring your drum and any songs you’d like to share.
After Sharing Circle, Drumming Circle & lunch, we will enjoy programming which focuses on: strengthening aspects of self, educating the community and fostering a feeling of belonging and community. Every week will feature a new topic.
